Prospect Kevin Hoskins Talks Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao

Super featherweight (130 pounds) boxing prospect Kevin Hoskins (3-0, three knockouts), who is only 20 years old, talks about growing up in West Los Angeles, where he views, among other things, a hawk devouring a pigeon in a tree and describes how he often witnessed similar scenes throughout his childhood.

"That's how life can be," said Hoskins, who endured gang-filled streets as a youth. "It's kill or be killed."

Hoskins talks about his admiration for six-time titlist Floyd Mayweather (41-0, 25 KOs), whose May, 2009 victory over three-division, five-time champion, Shane Mosley (46-6-1, 39 KOs), he studies for inspiration.

Mosley has an HBO pay per view televised clash with eight-division king Manny Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 KOs), who will defend his WBO welterweight (147 pounds) belt against Mosley without his WBC junior middleweight (154 pounds) crown being on the line.

Formerly promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, Mosley's clash with Pacquiao is being promoted by Golden Boy Promotions.

Hoskins returns to the ring on the under card of a Jan. 28 clash between heavyweight contender Chris Arreola (29-2, 25 KOs) and Joey Abell (27-4, 26 KOs) that will be held at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, Calif., and promoted by Goossen Tutor Promotions.
